INCLUDES ONE MAPS TRANSMITTER AND ONE M538-BS TRANSCEIVER. MAPS: The MURS Alert Probe Sensor (MAPS) is a long-range wireless driveway alarm that alerts you when a vehicle enters your driveway. The MURS Alert Probe Sensor combines the features of the vehicle sensor drive alert with MURS Alert technology for optimum performance. When the MURS Alert detects a vehicle it sends an alert signal to the transceiver. The alert messages are selected at the transmitter. The MURS Probe is very reliable and does not send false signals. The MURS Alert Probe Sensor transmitter has 5 channels and 38 sub-channels to choose from to help eliminate interference. The channels sub-channels and alert zones are user selected. The probe is connected to the transmitter with direct burial cable. The MURS transmitter s range is up to several miles away from the radios to help you monitor areas that are otherwise too far away to monitor. M538-BS: The M538-BS is a base station MURS transceiver that receives alert signals from the MURS Alert transmitter and can also be used for two-way voice communications between other MURS transceivers. The BS has 5 channels and 38 sub-channels to help you communicate with other users. The BS can communicate over several miles (varies by local terrain). When an alert signal is received from the MURS Alert transmitter the BS sounds an alert and displays an alert icon when the signal has been received. In addition the M538-BS is equipped with a NO relay output that can be used to connect the base station to other existing systems (alarm panels doorbells etc). Anyone who needs real-time monitoring and two-way voice communication will benefit from MURS. The base station can also communicate with the M538-HT hand-held radio. This allows someone in a house to stay in direct contact with someone outside. The FCC allows you to use MURS without a license. The MURS Probe operates on 6 AA alkaline batteries. The M538-BS is powered by a plug-in transformer.
