How to Install Firefox on Windows 10

This tutorial takes about 2 minutes to complete.

Before you start

Firefox doesn't come pre-installed on Windows 10, so you'll need to install it. This tutorial shows the Microsoft Store method — the easiest way, since it handles updates automatically.

Step 1: Open the Microsoft Store

Click the Start button (Windows icon) on your taskbar or press the Windows key on your keyboard. Type Microsoft Store in the search box and click the app icon to open it.

Step 2: Search for Firefox

With the Microsoft Store open, click the Search box in the top-left corner. Type Firefox and hit Enter. In the search results, locate Mozilla Firefox in the list.

Step 3: Install Firefox

On the Mozilla Firefox page, click the Get button. The Store will download and install Firefox automatically — wait for the status to change from "Downloading" to "Ready."

Step 4: Open Firefox and skip the setup screens

Once the install is complete, click Open to launch Firefox. On the first-run screens, click Skip past the sign-in prompt, click Skip on the privacy/setup screen, then click Start browsing.

Step 5: Adjust the browser window

Firefox opens to a new tab. Resize the window to your preferred size.
